Hanuman Shrine

Hanuman Shrine, originally uploaded by crassus08.

Hmm and so the journey goes on.. though this time it into the annals of time.

Hanuman, or Monkey God as it is affectionally known, is originally an Indian God recorded in the ancient Hindu scripture Ramayana whereby Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu play important roles in the creation, destroying and peservation of the universe.

Later Hanuman got "transported" to China through means of trade and exchange between the 2 countries and sunsequently ended up in the famous novel classic "Journey to the West".

Isn't that strange? Two entirely different entities playing a myriad of roles in two countries of distinct culture?
